J S T F O R K i C K S: Jordans
The fact that the Candy Caine’s sold out so fast tells me to stop buying Jordans soon. Anything and everything seems to sell out with the Jumpman. Ever since Space Jams, they hype has sky rocketed. Cool Greys too. Concords…was the worst. That just intensified everything. All these people all of sudden “love” Jordans. No. What they love is the attention they get when having a pair of shoes with a Jumpman on their feet. It kills the game for heads who really love the shoes. The real heads who know the history behind a pair of kicks. It’s killing the love for the game. I blame sneaker sites. But I have to put Tumblr on that too. I don’t know when all of a sudden everyone loved Jordans. It’s cool to have a new passion or love for something…a fan is a fan…but in this culture, copping to show out & look cool is not tolerated. You better know what pair you have on your feet & what the history behind it is if you’re going to claim the title “sneakerhead”. This whole new movement called “swag” ruined the game in my opinion. It’s like you can’t have swag without a pair of J’s, a snapback, or some expensive name brand product. I just might go back & cop older releases for a couple extra dollars. It’s better than waiting in line with a bunch of resellers who are going to put these shoes way over retail. Better than standing in line with kids who don’t know shit about Jordan & what he did in his career. Kill The Hype !passed on my pair. couldve used my discount and easily flipped them but nah.
It’s like everybody is about reselling shoes now. Ever since the South Beach’s people saw how much they could flip a single pair of shoes for (If the demand was that high.) I think that people ate these up, for the most part, because most people thought they could make a quick buck off of these.
